The monasteries of Sopocani
(1979.), Studenica (1986.) and Decani (2004.) and Felix Romuliana - Gamzigrad (2007) have been put on the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the world heritage.

The World Heritage Committee decided in 2006. to extend the site of the Decani Monastery by adding to it three groups of churches, the Patriarchate of Pec Monastery, Gracanica Monastery and the Church of the Virgin of Ljeviska. The site is now to be known as Medieval Monuments in Kosovo.
