Introducing:
Danube river
Danube riverThe river Danube is not the biggest, but it is certainly the most important European river. The river Danube enters into Vojvodina in its middle course, 1433 km away from its spring, where is the junction of the three borders of Republic of Hungary, Republic of Croatia and Republik of Serbia. The river goes out at the mouth of the river Nera to the Danube.

In this part of its course, the river Danube has all characteristics of a depression river. It inundates at a higher water level creating numerous islands and backwaters. Among many backwaters and swamps arise unique natural oasis that are settled by many species of plants and animals.

All places along the coast of the river Danube in Vojvodina have rich hunting and fishing fund. Rare bird species and capital exemplars of deer and wild swine can be seen here.

Of its natural resources, the most important are the national park of Fruska Gora, Apatin's swampy region, Karadjordjevo, Petrovaradin-Kovilj's swampy region and Deliblato sands. There are many hunting areas that can be approached by boat through backwaters in these zones.

At places along the river Danube are present orthodox and catholic churches and also temples of other religious groups built from XVII to XIX century. Most of them are decorated with valuable iconostasis, frescoes and icons.
Ludas lake
Ludas lakeThe lake of Ludas is situated 12 km southwest of Subotica, about 10 km away from the motorway E-75 in the direction of Horgos. It is 6 km long and occupies an area of 387 ha.

It is surrounded by the settlements Hajdukovo, Nosa, Ludas and Supljak. It araised under the influence of wind in the Ice Ages. It is one of the most preserved lake-swamp ecosystems in the steppe zone in Europe and a center of biological diversity, where numerous rare, endemic and relic plants survive.

Ludas is an ornithological station, so thanks to that it is put under a special form of country protection. There are objects of special cultural value around the lake. On the left bank of the lake is the hundred years old Roka's farm that has ambient value. Since ancient times, the farm was a place of gathering, where people were cooking stews, selling fish, etc. The farm possesses a valuable ethno-collection of 800 authentic objects that served people once. The greatest value of this ethno-house is its preserved original appearance that fits to a Pannonian house built in three parts. There is also the possibility of boat renting and accommodation in handicrafts.
Deliblato sands

Deliblato sandsDeliblato sand is located in the southern part of Banat between the river Danube and the western Carphatian slopes. It is 354 km long and around 11 km wide and it extends as an ellipse in the direction of southeast northwest.

Deliblato sands represents a unique phenomenon in Europe by its genesis, orography, climate and specific flora and fauna, so it was called the European Sahara at one time. Impressive dimensions of Deliblato sand, its beauty and permanent changing color of flowers, leaves, low and woody flora make this dune's relief extremely attractive.

The Girl's well separately stands out by its beauty. Many legends tell about the name of the Girl's well. A hundred years ago when this well was built in connection with afforesting, the girls usually were water carriers and were gathering around this well to take water to the diligent and tired workers who were working at the arid sand. So, this well probably got the name according to that. At the picnic place of the Girl's well, accommodations count around 150 beds, and you also can find there sports terrains for football, volleyball, handball, a swimming pool, trim track, footpaths etc.
Fruska Gora Mountain
Fruska Gora MountainThe most popular one day tourist destination from Belgrade is a visit to the Fruska Gora Mountain, protected by the National Park of Nature. Fruska Gora Mountain has also been called The third Saint Mount because of its 17 monasteries.
