In the village of Vinča on the coast of Danube, 14 km from Belgrade, is the world famous archaeological site and museum of Vinča culture about 7500 years old. Vinča is the largest excavated Neolithic settlement in Europe.
The site is also called Belo Brdo (White Hill) for bright colors of natural terrace which is located on. The oldest finds date from the older Neolithic period from 5500 BC. In Vinča are found remains of houses, weapons and tools made of bone, horn and stone, jewelry made out of shells, and various plastics in the form of statues. Based on these items, started the reconstruction of life and culture of Vinča in the southeastern part of Europe. 
Numerous historical monuments, fertile plains, rolling hills and hospitable and friendly people are what characterizes Knić and Gruža, and the entire southern Šumadija. Meet the most picturesque part of Šumadija! Knić is a municipality located 20 km from Kragujevac. It is situated in a valley surrounded by mountains Rudnik, Kotlenik and Gledićke mountains. Jagodina is located on motorway E-75 and convenient for transit tourism, and offers rich history and tradition, but is now best known for the unique Aqua ark, Museum of wax figures, giraffes from the Zoo and its enterprising mayor. City of Jagodina is located in central Serbia, in the mid section of Pomoravlje, on the river Belica. Distance from Belgrade to Jagodina is 156 km, and to Kragujevac 62 km. Jagodina lies in a fertile basin surrounded by Gledićke mountains, Juhor and Crni Vrh. Motorway E-75 passes close to Jagodina, but there is a railway which runs through the city itself, connecting middle and central Europe with Asia. 
Kragujevac is the largest city of the Šumadija region. It is the fourth largest city in the country after Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš. Kragujevac underwent a number of ordeals, the worst probably having been the October massacre of many males and a number of schoolchildren during the World War II. Nowdays, modern conceptions appear through the city 
Topola is located in the heart of Serbia, in Šumadije region, on the slopes of the Oplenac hill, 85 km from Belgrade. This is the well-known historical location associated with Karadjordje, the leader of The First Serbian Insurrection against the Turks in 1804. The sites that have been preserved in Topola are the endowment of King Petar I, which contains the church of Saint Djordje, Petar’s house, new opened Gallery (The house of vinogradar) and Karadjordje’s fortified town. All this represents a unique monument of the cultural-historical heritage of the Serbian people. 
The municipality of Cacak is located in the middle of central Serbia, in Moravicki Region, between the municipalities of Gornji Milanovac in the north, and Lucani in the southwest. The municipality of Pozega, which belongs to Zlatiborski Region lies west of it, in the east there is the municipality of Knic, which is part of Sumadijski Region, and the municipality of Kraqevo is situated in the southeast and it belongs to Raski Region. Moravicki Region includes the municipalities of Gornji Milanovac, Čačak, Lucani and Ivanjica.
