After the summer break, the gates of the Novi Sad Fair will be open 24 days, welcoming exhibitors, professionals and visitors. The fairs will be organised in seven terms, with guests from Serbia and the region will present the products and services from all over the world.

The beginning of the season will be marked by the 41^st International Fair LORIST, which will be organised between 7^th and 12^th October and the 41^st International Fair of Tourism, held between 9^th and 12^th October. Under the auspices of LORIST, there will be the fairs of Hunting, Fishing and Sport, Horituculture and Ecology, while the Fair of Tourism will encompass the Fairs of Food and Beverages and Catering Equipment.

This year, within the 42nd Bitef 2008, the production Truth in Translation by South African artists and a US director Michael will be performed in Novi Sad on 29th September. The production is a part of the Special Program of Bitef Festival organized for the first time this year. It will be accompanied by a photo exhibition, meeting with artists and a workshop. www.bitef.rs Belgrade will be the host of the third City Break, in period June 9-11th, 2008.

According to information from Mark Valssa, the Chief Executive Director of Reed Travel Exhibition Organization, that together with European Cities Marketing organizes the City Break, the main reason for choosing Belgrade for a host of this event in 2008 is the passion of the people and the beauty of Belgrade, little familiar in world. He has also mentioned that this following City Break will be a great opportunity for Belgrade to presents its tourist potentials, that is more than rich. Director of Tourist Organization of Belgrade, Olivera Lazovic promised that Belgrade will be honorable host for more than thousand participants of this great event, that will for sure have more effect on development and promotion of Belgrade as a city – weekend destination.

Universiade is an international sport competition, organized by International University Sports Federation-FISU, under sponsorship of International Olympic Committee, that gathers students - sportsman. Often, they are called World Student Games i.e. World University Games. This international sport festival will be held in Belgrade from 1.07 – 12.07.2009, and presents the most important sport event after the Olympic Games.
The word Universiade originate from the word university and olympiad, that means student olympic games.
On summer Universiade, sportsman are competing in 12 obligated sport disciplines and 3 sport disciplines chosen by the host country.
For the mascot of Universiade 2009 is chosen the sparrow, because the sparrow is the symbol of Belgrade spirit, capable to fly higher and further than much bigger birds.

EXIT Fest (10. 07. - 13. 07. 2008.)

EXIT NOISE SUMMER FEST is the biggest music festival in South Eastern Europe. EXIT has taken place at a beautiful and magical fortress in Novi Sad, since 2001. Year after year the number of visitors is getting bigger; young people come from different parts of the country and Europe. Apart from quality music program that it offers, the festival is a place of wild fun, and you can enjoy the cool atmosphere of the Petrovaradin fortress and the positive energy of the city.

The brass bands music festival in Guca is so popular because it gathers brass, vocal and folklore bands, both local and international, in one place. There are also additional events organized there: local sport competitions, exhibitions of hand-made objects and traditional meals, traditional apparel competitions, etc... Belgrade Beer Fest, 15-19th of August - a festival promoting the culture of beer drinking supported by numerous local and international bands. The entrance is free.
